A soundtrack for the soul that moves to its own rhythm.

Debby Smith is a singer-songwriter who moves gracefully between pop, neo-soul, and quiet reflections. Her songs feel like little walks through thoughts and emotions—shaped by moments of stillness and movement. Her music isn’t just something to hear; it’s something to move through emotionally. She creates songs that feel like soundtracks to someone’s inner world—not just a mood, but a journey.

Her artistry speaks to the independent soul—those who trust their own rhythm and stay true to their path, even when it winds through uncertainty.

Life is messy, art is messy, relationships are messy – and so is Debby Smith’s musical journey. Perfection? Never the goal. Instead, it’s been a path full of twists and turns, setbacks, and new beginnings – all fueled by an unwavering love for music.

Growing up as one of six children and shaped by constant moves, Debby learned to find stillness within chaos. Music became her anchor—a steady force when everything else was shifting. Self-taught and deeply intuitive, she discovered her voice by listening closely: to life, to silence, to the stories between the lines. For her, music was never a career plan—it was a necessity. A way to hold on, to let go, and to keep walking

Now, after releasing her debut EP Peace of Mind in 2019 and years of creative growth, Debby is preparing to release her first full-length album, LUNA PARK, on May 2, 2025.

Crafted over the course of three years, entirely as an independent artist, the album came to life track by track, word by word—slowly, organically, and with intention.

LUNA PARK is more than just a collection of songs. Named after a street in Hamburg that connects Debby’s home with the studio of her long-time producer Gregor Sonnenberg, it became a symbol for the space between movement and pause, between the rush of life and the quiet moments in between. A place to breathe, reflect, and begin again.

Musically, Debby blurs genre lines with ease—moving between soulful intimacy, alternative folk warmth, jazzy depth, and modern pop clarity. With influences like Olivia Dean, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, and Lianne La Havas, her sound is cinematic and timeless. Her warm, soul-stirring voice flows over harmonic textures with both emotional depth and lightness.

Her lyrics are deeply personal and unafraid to explore complexity—touching on mental health, self-worth, love, and the quiet courage it takes to stay soft in a loud world. Whether it's the mellow groove of Low Key, the vulnerability in What If I, or the emotional weight of Confession, each song carries a kind of gentle strength. Always honest. Always grounded. Never forced.

With support from Initiative Musik and a growing community of listeners, Debby Smith is stepping into her next chapter. After opening for Phil Siemers in 2023, she will return to the stage in 2025/26 with new songs and exclusive live sessions recorded at Home Studios Hamburg.

LUNA PARK is an invitation: to feel, to wander, to breathe. Each song a step on a path through light and shadow, questions and clarity. For those who need a moment of stillness—or a quiet walk through their own inner world—Debby’s music offers exactly that.
